Ukrainian Returning to Liberated Village
Pissed that No One Watered her Plants
While most of the citizens of Donesk, Ukraine were thrilled and appreciative to be going back to their recently liberated town, one resident was “beyond miffed” that no one bothered to water her plants while she was gone.
“It’s just so inconsiderate,” ranted Oksana Shevchenko as she held up the dry husk of her formerly lush greenery. “And it’s not like they needed to do it it every day or anything. Just once a week. I mean they’re succulents for God’s sake.” Shevchenko who fled the region in May during the Russian invasion said that she just assumed one of her neighbors who decided to shelter in place or even one of the Russian occupiers would have the courtesy to look after her things, but that was not the case. “I’m beyond upset. Next time, before anyone decides to annex anything, they need to think long and hard about the people they are inconveniencing,” Shevchenko groused. “And while I’m lodging complaints, what’s with the Ukranian police department? They can find hundreds of people in mass graves, but they still haven’t located my missing bike.” |
